He was a retired realtor from Ligonier who had served 2 four-year terms as clerk of Noble County circuit court. He was a member of Ligonier Masonic Lodge 185, Noble County Shrine, Scottish Rite of Fort Wayne, OES, and Ligonier Elks Club 451. He was born March 2, 1919 in Albion to Clarence and Anna (Felkner) Barnum. He married Eleanor Biddle on Oct. 5, 1940 in Albion. Surviving are his wife; a son, Bill of Fort Wayne; a daughter and son-in-law, Marge and Roger Kryder of Syracuse; 3 grandsons, Richard Barnum and Aaron and Andy Kryder. He was preceded in death by 5 sisters and 3 brothers. Services Monday at Ulrey-Renner Funeral Home, Ligonier. Burial, Rose Hill Cemetery.
