James J. Blankenship, 81, of Bellmead, passed away Sunday Nov. 9, 2008. Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 12, at Waco Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel. Burial will be in Waco Memorial Park.

James was born in Arp, Texas, to the late Foster and Leedale (Stone) Blankenship. He served in the U.S. Navy and retired from Owens Illinois Glass Plant in 1984 after 32 years of service.

He was preceded in death by his brother, William Blankenship.

Survivors include his wife, Bonnie Blankenship, of Bellmead; daughters, Donna Andrews, Robin Blankenship, Cindy Kinchen and Brenda Burney, all of Waco, and Bonnie Boorman, of Winsboro, Texas; son, James PanDela; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren; other family members and a host of friends.
