HOWARD — Albert B. Coder 74, who farmed in Nittany Valley until March of 1966, died Tuesday, August 8, 1967 at the Centre County Hospital, Bellefonte. He became ill at his home in Pleasant Gap and died shortly after his arrival at the hospital.
Mr. Coder had lived at Pleasant Gap since retiring.
He was a native of Howard where he was born November 9, 1893, a son of Marry and May Schenck Coder. His wife, the former Nancy Schenck, whom he married in 1915, survived, with six daughters and one son: Mrs. May Fletcher, Mrs. Lucy Kyle, and Paul A. Coder, Howard R.D. 2; Mrs. Rachael Yarnell, Pleasant Gap; Mrs. Rebecca Metz, Conshohocken; Mrs. Jeannette Klein, Beloit, Wisconsin; and Mrs. Mary Pallo, Lewistown; also 20 grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Ronald E. Coder of Conshohocken was a surviving brother. Mr. Coder was a member of the United Fairview-Hunters Run Church.
Services were held at the Neff Funeral Home, Howard, with the Reverend William B. Starr officiating.
Interment was in Schenck's Cemetery, Howard Township.
