Funeral services for Mr. Donald Gene "Pete" Davis, 60, of Hilham, were conducted at
2 p.m. Saturday, February 12, 2000, from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home with Rev.
Tim Sharp officiating. Burial was in Ruth Chapel Cemetery with Speck Funeral Home of
Livingston in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Davis, a truck driver with the Overton County Highway Department, died Thursday,
February 10, 2000, at Livingston Regional Hospital.

Born February 15, 1939, in Overton County, he was the son of the late Andy and Hazel
Brown Davis.

He was a member of Maxwell Chapel Church of God.

Survivors include his wife, Louise England Davis, Hilham, three sons and
daughters-in-law, Donald Jr. and Faye Davis, Cookeville, Doug and Robin Davis,
Crossville, and David and Lisa Davis, Lebanon; two daughters and sons-in-law, Donna
and Joe Harpe, Rickman, and Denise and Jackie Burchett, Hilham; a very special
brother and sister-in-law, Sam and Charlotte Davis, Hilham; a sister-in-law, Gladys
Davis, Hilham; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Bonnie and Bill Edmonds,
Hardys Chapel community, Bobbie and Jim Mabrey, Hilham, and Barbara Danner,
Livingston; 10 grandchildren, Stephanie Davis, Jennifer Davis, Devin and Jordan
Davis, Loura and Ryan Harpe, Josh Simpson, Cindy Burchett, Tyler Davis, and Claeb
Davis; and a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and neighbors. Pallbearers were James
"Dookie" Garrett, Joe Garrett, Mark Gore, Junior Fleming, Jim Bean, David McDonald,
and George Sells.
