Polly, as she was known to family and friends, graduated from Mary Baldwin College in 1940 and married P. William Moore of Staunton, who predeceased her on Jan. 10, 1996. She was a member of the Deane Holt Auxiliary of King's Daughters Hospital, the Augusta Garden Club, and the Staunton, Augusta, Waynesboro chapter of the Mary Baldwin Alumnae Association of which she was a former president. She also served as president of the Women of the Church of St. John's United Methodist Church and was a member of its Board of Trustees.
Surviving are two sons, P. William Moore Jr. and John L. Moore of Staunton; three daughters, Alice M. Malcolm of Charlottesville, Anne M. Corp of Atlantic Beach, Fla., and Elizabeth M. Schreiber of Staunton. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Her only brother, George Lowell Baughan of Luray, predeceased her.
