John D. Bamford 55 clerk at the Seymour Hotel,Watertown,died Sunday night at the Mercy Hospital,after an illness of two weeks.
He was born on Wolfe Island Aug 5 1871,son of Wells and Irene Dixon Bamford.His wife was formerly Miss Cora Lindsey.She died many years ago.Mr. Bamford was one time employed by Thomas Bradley,but has been a clerk in the hotel since his health broke down.He has been confined to the hospital since Feb.12.
He is survived by two brothers,Wells Bamford of this city ,and J.D.Bamford of Wolfe Island;two sisters,Mrs. Charles Holliday of Florida and Mrs. Grace D. Gaskin of Watertown.
Funeral services will be held from the Payne undertaking parlors,Tuesday afternoon at two.Internment will be made at Dexter.
