Mr. Marvin R. "Bud" Points, 53, of Riverton died at 12:35 a.m. Tuesday at Memorial Medical Center.
He was born June 26, 1937, in Palmyra, the son of Russell and Luytie Eyer Points.
He married Daisy Minder in 1957.
His father preceded him in death.
He was a greenskeeper for 27 years at Oakcrest Country Club and a groundskeeper at Franklin Life Insurance Co. for 10 years.
A resident of Riverton for 30 years, Mr. Points was a member of Amvets.
Surviving are his wife; two daughters, Mrs. David (Sharon) Brown and Mrs. Bruce (Karla) Alderson, both of Springfield; one granddaughter; mother, Mrs. Luytie Points of Springfield; two sisters, Mrs. William (Norma) Eskew and Mrs. Frank (Charlotte) Schmelz, both of Springfield; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Staab Funeral Home, with the Rev. Frank Lewis officiating.
Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.
