Ruthy Rahall is my Mom and the most elegant lady ever born. She was my closest friend and the best mom ever.
Mom never left the house unless she was dressed up even to the store. Her laugh was legendary, you could not hold a straight face when she started. Family was most important to her and she loved cooking and entertaining. Mom loved to dance and her voice was beautiful, when younger she sang in church. I never heard Mom speak badly of anyone, she always looked on the positive. When she hugged you she meant it.
There were no animals Mom did not love, and they were drawn to her. Cats were her favorite.
Mom sadly passed away after years of suffering to kidney disease peacefully at home. She was surrounded by family and loved ones. Even weak and frail she made sure she was beautifully dressed. She and Dad celebrated their 62nd Anniversary the month before. Dad took care of her like the Princess she was until the end.
