CHARLESTON, SC -- Grady Watson Gamble, 84, of Charleston, SC, died Monday, July 5, 1993, in Charleston.

His funeral will be at 4 p.m. Thursday, July 8, 1993 at Charleston Baptist Church, with burial in Live Oak Memorial Gardens in Charleston.

Mrs. Gamble was born December 24, 1908, in Glenn, GA, son of the late James G. Gamble and Mary L. Watson Gamble. He was a charter member of Charleston Baptist Church, a retired ship fitter at Charleston Navy Yard, a licensed barber and a former deacon of Ashley River Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Clara M. Cole Gamble of Charleston; one son, Joel K. Gamble of North Charleston; four daughters, Penelope G. Scott of San Diego, CA, Melody J. Stephens of Port St. Joe, FL, Kay Specht of Albany, GA and Rebecca J. McNeely of Goose Creek, SC; two sisters, Cora Van Zee of Fairfax, VA and Ferrell Dabbs of Charlotte, NC; 10 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

J. Henry Stuhr Funeral Home of Charleston is in charge of arrangements.
