The funeral of Wm. Spencer Smith one of the pioneer residents of San Antonio, who died in this city day before yesterday, will take place tomorrow afternoon at 4 o'clock from the residence at 724 South Flores street, known as the old Devine homestead. Mr. Smith who is one of the oldest residents of the city, was married to a daughter of Judge T. J. Devin, and was a brother-in-law of Albert Devine, at one time quarter master general of the state. Another brother-in-law is Nettervale Devine, ex-city recorder of San Antonio.
The active pall bearers who will officiate at the funeral are: Judge Jno. James, Floyd McGown, J. W. Terry, Judge Edward Dwyer, Wm. Aubrey and Judge R. B. Green. The honorary pall bearers are: Lytle Gosling, C. H. Dean, Chas. Shiner, Dan Sullivan, Jr., Jno. M. McLeroy and E. J. Altgelt.
