My 2nd Cousin.
Walter was born in Ripon, Yorkshire, England to Percy Compton and Emma Atkinson.
He arrived in Canada with his Mom, his Grandma, Susannah Winter Compton to join his Grandpa, Charles Compton and other family members while his father served in WWI for England.
He joined the Navy and travelled the world. My Dad has always said that Walter was his favorite cousin. Why? Because he taught my Dad to box and swear and just be a boy. There was a 20 year age difference.
His first wife was Chrystabel L Harris and together they had 2 children.
He was then married to Grace Leonard and together they had 3 children.
