Armstrong G Artreese, 85, a resident of Albion for 20 years, died Saturday (12-4-1982) in St. Joseph Hospital, Fort Wayne. She was born February 6, 1897 in Jay County, the daughter of George W. and Diana A. (Sheffer) Bickle. She married Russel Armstrong March 1, 1922. He died November 4, 1977. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Kendallville and North Star Rebekah Lodge in Albion. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Everett (Grace) Leatherman, Albion; a brother, Lester, Portland; eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. A son, Russel J., preceded her in death February 12, 1974. She was also preceded in death by one sister and five brothers. Services Tuesday in Brazzell Funeral Home, Albion. Burial, Rose Hill Cemetery. ~ 12-9-1982
