Hattie E. Comfort was born in Woodbridge, Hillsdale Co., Mich., Aug 25, 1871, and died March 2, 1909 aged 37 yrs. 6 mo., 8 days. She was married to Joseph Whaley, November 30, 1887, and to this union was born three girls and one boy: Mrs. Nora Button, Misses Ila and Maude Whaley, and Comfort Whaley. She leaves besides her husband and children, her father, two sisters, Mrs. John Clark, of Fremont, and Mrs. Tony Westendorf, of New Orleans and one brother, Thomas Comfort, of Battle Creek, also two grandchildren. The funeral services were held at the home of her father W. G. Comfort, by Rev. C. Richards. The burial was at the Berg Cemetery at Montgomery.
