Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. tomorrow at the First Christian church for Sherod C. Harvey, 82, of 726 Santa Cruz, who died yesterday at Gardena. The Rev. W.W. McKinney will officiate. Burial will be in the family plot at Rosevelt Memorial park, Members of the I.O.O.F. lodge No. 138 will have charge of graveside services. The McNerney mortuary will be in charge.
Mr. Harvey had resided here seven years. He was a native of Missouri and a pioneer of Kansas. He was a member of the First Christian church, the I.O.O.F. and York Masonic lodge of Watts.
He leaves three daughters, Mrs. Nellie Barnett, Mrs. Cora Isaacson and Mrs. Ruth Moore of San Pedro, three sons, Arthur of San Pedro, Curtis of Wilmington and Sam of Inglewood; five brothers, Charles of Oregon, Leonard, Gilbert, Edward and Fletcher, all of Washington.

* The nickname of Colonel, was a rank from Sherod's long time membership in the Odd Fellows organization, going back to his Kansas City membership.
In the 1920's to at least the 1940's, his daughters and a daughter-in-law were extremely active in the Rebekahs, in San Pedro, CA; a branch of the I.O.O.F..

Mrs. Hannah Elizabeth Harvey, 79, died early today at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Nellie Barnett, 315 N. Grand Ave. Funeral services under direction of Palm and Mclin will be announced later.
Mrs. Harvey had lived in the Harbor district for the past 20 years. She leaves her widower, Sherod Clarence Harvey, three daughters, Mrs. Barnett, Mrs. Cora Isaacson and Mrs. Ruth Moore and a son Sam, all of San Pedro, and two sons, Arthur, San Gabriel and Curtis, Wilmington.

Church Schedules Homecoming Day

Newly elected officers of the First
Christian church will be consecrated
during the 10:30 a. m. Sunday service as a feature of annual Homecoming Day," the Rev. Earl Eppert, pastor, said today.

Following the consecration ceremony a basket lunch will be served at 1 p. m. in the social hall. During the lunch period Dr. Clifford A. Cole, state secretary of the church, will speak
