POTEAU — Neva Jean (McBride) Tackett, 44, of Poteau died Sunday, Nov. 2, 2008, in Bokoshe. She was born March 23, 1964, in Talihina. She was a homemaker.

Funeral will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Evans Chapel of Memories in Poteau with burial at Whitesboro Cemetery in Whitesboro.

She is survived by two sons, Chris Tackett of Bokoshe and Jason Tackett of Heavener; five sisters, Pat Vinson of Noble, Okla., Gail Mayer, Shirley Picklesimer, and Becky Maxell, all of Poteau, and Sammie Thompson of Panama; three brothers, Samuel McBride of Carlsbad, N.M., Mackey and Tim McBride, both of Poteau; and one grandchild.

Pallbearers will be Mark McBride, Billie Thompson, Randall Foster, Mike Skelton, Kevin Atkins and Darryl Heatherington.
