Robin came over from Ramsgate England with his mother and siblings in 1889.
Served in the Spanish American War: He enlisted as a private of C Battery of the Seventh Regiment on the 27th day of April 1898 and was honourably discharged at Santuace Puerto Rico on 4 April 1899.
Robin owned four houses which he bought at low prices and improved (with the aide of family members), in his free time. He was a printer by trade and worked on the Modern Priscilla magazine. He had special ability and was a foreman there. He also worked on the Saturday Evening Post at one time in Chicago making the colour covers for that magazine as a lithographer. Anyone in trouble found that he could to Robin for help. He became ill in 1917 and passed away two years later of pernicious anemia.
