Geo. W. Watkins, well known local citizen, received a message shortly before noon yesterday apprising him of the death at Fayetteville, Ark., earlier that day of his wife, who had been in Fayetteville for about a month visiting their son, inmate of a Veterans' hospital there at this time.
Cause of her death or information as to funeral arrangements was not immediately available, further than that the body of the deceased would be returned here at once for burial.

Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Church of Christ in this city for Mrs. Frankie Ann Watkins, 62, who died Thursday at the home of her son, Arvy Watkins, at West Fork, Ark., near Fayetteville.
The Rev. Mr. Whitfield of Steele conducted the service and interment was in Little Prairie cemetery.
Surviving Mrs. Watkins are her husband, George Watkins, a daughter, Mrs. Cassie Langrum of this city, and her son.
