Mrs. Kelly, 75, of Rochester, died Saturday (Nov. 1, 2008) at Saint Marys Hospital.
Bonnivieve Tweite was born Nov. 28, 1932, in rural Byron. She grew up on a farm near Byron. On Sept. 12, 1948, she married John Kelly at St. John's Lutheran Church in Kasson. She worked at Saint Marys Hospital for 25 years, retiring in 1994. Her husband is a retired Rochester School District 535 employee. She was a member of Gloria Dei Lutheran Church and enjoyed sewing and cross stitching.
She is survived by her husband; three daughters, Katherine Kelly of Burnsville, Minn., Barbara (Carl) Girtler of Sparks, Nev., and Patricia Hameister of Rochester; a son, Rich (Cindy Gilbert) of North Mankato; three brothers, Marvin (Mary) Tweite and Robert (Jeanette) Tweite, both of Byron, and David (Jean) Tweite of Rochester; eight grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a sister.
Friends may call from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Macken Funeral Home in Rochester, and an hour prior to the service Thursday at the church.
Memorials are preferred to Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, Seasons Hospice, or a charity of the donor's choice.
