Burial was to be in Coax Cemetery near Winnsboro.
Mr. Vines died at 6:20 p.m. Tuesday in St. Francis Hospital at Monroe after a brief illness.
Mr. Vines was a cattleman in Franklin Parish and also farmed and was involved in construction work.
Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Radey Mae Vines of Winnsboro; one daughter, Mrs. Geraldine Crane of Winnsboro; one son, Ebb Fay Vines of Morton, Miss.; three brothers, Jack Vines, Edgar Vines and M. L. Vines, all of Winnsboro and four grandchildren.
Pallbearers were to be Roy Montgomery, Dub Simmons, Boots Nelson, Murry Martin, Shay Bankston, R. L. Wright, J. J. Mercer and W. A. Wright.
