Services Today for Billy Corley

Funeral services will be held at 10 o'clock this morning at Boone's Chapel for Billy Corley, seven year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Bevlia Corley, who died about 5:00 o'clock Tuesday afternoon, in a Memphis hospital. The service will be conducted by the Rev John H Stombo assisted by the Rev. J R Grisham. Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery with Barry Funeral Home in charge.

The child died immediately after reaching the hospital. Dr. Garland Hendrick who accompanied the family to Memphis, stated that an autopsy showed that death was caused by a brain tumor, and there was no infection. Billy had been unconscious for several hours and doctors first thought that he had suffered an injury while playing. He had been ill several times during the past few months and was out of school last week because of illness.

Billy was a second grade pupil and was a favorite with disposition and friendly manner also was the love of older people with whom he came in contact. He attended regularly the Christian Church Sunday School.

In addition to his parents he leaves two older brothers, John Lee and Dean and a baby sister Janet Sue.
