John Gibson, s/o Samuel & Mary (Price) Gibson, was born in Philadelphia on Jan. 13, 1790 & died Feb. 7, 1858 in Philadelphia. He married (first) Sarah Jones (1795-1847) on Oct. 26, 1815, and (second) Martha Jones, sister of Sarah, (1802-1861)on Feb. 28, 1850. He had 6 children with Sarah: Samuel, Mary Beulah, Martha, Ann, Mary & Emma.
