Thomas A. Kerouac, 75, of Bourbonnais, died of a sudden illness, Thursday (Oct. 8, 1998) at Provena St. Mary's Hospital emergency room.

Visitation will be from 3-7 p.m. Sunday at Clancy-Gernon Funeral Home in Bourbonnais.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday at Maternity BVM Church, where he was a member.

Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Chebanse.

Memorials may be made to the Diabetes Foundation.

He was born May 2, 1923 in Manteno, the son of Alfred and Lucretia Brosseau Kerouac.

Mr. Kerouac retired after 43 years with Bradley Roper, where he was transportation supervisor.

He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the Army in Europe. He was a member of the Bradley American Legion and VFW and the Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge.

Surviving are his wife, the former Jeanne Fleming, whom he married May 24, 1947 at St. Patrick's rectory; one daughter and son-in-law, Donna and Jay Karr of Bourbonnais; one brother and sister-in-law, Vincent and Irene Kerouac of Dayton, Montana; three granddaughters; and two great-granddaughters; and several nieces and nephews.

Deceased are brothers, Gabriel, Leon, Edwin and Ralph Kerouac; and two sisters, Claire Freeman and Marie Kryznowski.
