Oxford - Samuel M. Clark, 83, retired electrical contractor, died suddenly at his home Wednesday. Funeral services will be conducted at G. T. Eakes Funeral Home at 4 p.m. Friday by the Rev. Harry Thomas, Episcopal rector, assisted by the Rev. E. G. Usry. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery. He was a native of Granville County, a son of the late Samuel and Louise Wheeler Clark. He was a member and past counselor of the Granville Council of the Junior Order. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Bessie Moore Clark; three sons, Kirby C. of Jacksonville, S. M. Jr., of Oxford, and the Rev. Clinton C. Clark of Tavares, Fla.:
three daughters, Mrs. Bannister Royster of Oxford, Mrs. B. D. Peterson of Chicago, and Mrs. W. H. Brewer of Littleton; and ten grandchildren.
