She married Jack Acklin on January 17, 2000 at Cotter, AR. She made and sold quilts and pillows as Queen Bee and was known locally as the Quilt Lady. She was a familiar figure at many local craft shows. Jean lived in Cotter for 56 years moving from Crane, MO.

Home, 2 Daughters, Julie (Eddie) Potts of Norfork, AR, Johanna Wade of Cotter, Daughter-in-Law, Tess Mackey of Mtn. Home, 2 Brothers, Bob Perryman of Yates City, IL, Jack Perryman of Elmwood, IL, 2 Sisters, Paula Hochstatter of Sublette, IL, Betty Maxwell of Yates City, IL, 15 Grandchildren, and 16 Great Grandchildren.

Preceded in Death by: She was preceded in death by her parents, Husbands Jerald Albert Mackey, Earl Farris & Jack Acklin, 2 Sons; Jerry Mackey & Charlie Farris, 4 Brothers, 3 Sisters & 1 Grandson.

Visitation: Visitation will be from 5-8 pm, Monday, July 21 at Kirby & Family Funeral & Cremation Services.

Funeral: Funeral Services for Jean Farris Acklin of Cotter, will be 11:00 am Tuesday, July 22, 2008 at Kirby & Family Funeral & Cremation Services, with Reverend James Cox officiating.

Burial: Burial will be in the Kirby's Tucker Memorial Cemetery.

Memorials: Memorials may be made to the Hospice of the Ozarks Hospice House.
