Jean Acklin died Friday, July 18, 2008 in Cotter at the age of 82. Jean Acklin was born Sunday, February 28, 1926 in Treece, Kansas, daughter of Floyd and Eunice Hawkins Perryman . She married Jack Acklin on January 17, 2000 at Cotter, AR. She made and sold quilts and pillows as Queen Bee and was known locally as the Quilt Lady. She was a familiar figure at many local craft shows. Jean lived in Cotter for 56 years moving from Crane, MO.
