Wanda Maud Earp of Perkins, Oklahoma was born October 3, 1926 in Avery, Oklahoma and died Wednesday, October 29, 2008 in Stillwater, Oklahoma at the age of 82 years.

She was the daughter of Frank and Jessie Rider Merrill. She married Henry Lee Earp on October 22, 1943 in Agra, Oklahoma. She was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church in Perkins and Emmanuel Baptist Church in Perkins.

Preceding her in death were her parents, three brothers, Alva Merrill, Leroy Merrill and Clyde Merrill and one granddaughter, Christie Lynn Brooks.

Survivors include her husband, Henry of Perkins, three daughters and sons-in-law, Linda and Darwin James of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Sherrill and Jerry Poston of Edmond, Oklahoma and Denise and Richard Halliburton of Hermosa Beach, California, one son, Wyatt Earp of Los Angeles, California, four grandchildren, three great grandchildren and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held Saturday, November 1, 2008 at Emmanuel Baptist Church with Pastor Robin Foster and Rev. Larry Wilson officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Park Cemetery under the direction of Strode Funeral Home of Stillwater.
