MARY A. LAGLE BAILEY
---Mary A. Lagle, daughter of Richard and Nancy Lagle, was born February 22, 1868 and died April 25, 1931, at the age of sixty-three years, two months and two days. She was married to James W. Bailey on November 14, 1886. To this union were born five children, Mrs. H.M. Payton and Mrs. Clarence Lockett of Gifford, Mrs. Carl Ross of La Crosse, Walter Bailey of South Bend, Indiana and Mrs. Carl Magers of Elmer. She also leaves to mourn her loss, her husband, James W. Bailey, one brother, James Lagle, of La Plata, eight grandchildren, one great-grandson and a host of relatives and friends.
---In early womanhood she became a member of the Adventist Church but later became a member of the Christian Church at Gifford.
---She was a faithful wife and a loving mother, a good neighbor and was loved by all that knew her. She was always willing to give a helping hand in time of need.
---The remains were laid to rest in the Bell cemetery and the funeral was conducted by Rev. Spurling of Kirksville.
