Mrs. Crain was born on the Moore farm, southwest of Battle Ground, May 11, 1864, a daughter of Richard A. and Emma Druvilla (Bull) Moore. She was a member of a pioneer family, her grandfather, James A. Moore, having come from Shelbyville, Ky., to Hog Point, east of Battle Ground, in 1831. Mrs. Crain, a lifelong resident of the county, was married Dec. 23, 1885, to Mr. Crain, who died in 1936.
Surviving are a son, Charles B. Crain, of Highland Park, 111., one of two children; a brother, R. A. Moore, Lafayette, with a niece, Gladys Crain Strehlow, of Peoria, 111. Mrs. Crain was the last of her family. The body was removed to the Rogers and Henderson funeral home, where friends may call after 1 pm, Wednesday and where services will be held Thursday at 10:30 am, burial at Greenbush cemetery.
