She married the Reverend Ferdinand Rose, builder and pastor of the Hixon Run (or Chimney Rock) Baptist Church which was a couple of miles north of Hay Hollow.
She and Ferdinand set up housekeeping on the south side of Beaver Pike and a few years after their daughter, Sarah Jane, was born, moved to Hixon Run.
She died Jan. 15, 1913 and is buried next to her husband in Hay Hollow Cemetery.
