Luther J. Boring, 69, of Harvey Street, Hastings, died last Friday at his home. He was born May 30, 1892, in Pine Flats, Indiana County, a son of Philip and Eliza Jane (Keith) Boring. He is survived by his widow, the former Laura Kuhn, and these children: Mrs. Virginia Dujuis, Naugatuck, Conn.; Mrs. Geraldine Glass, Coalport; Mrs. Hazel Ranhlow, Oakville, Conn.; William J. and Harry R., both of Hastings; CPO Calvin G., with the U.S. Navy at Charleston, S.C.; and Sheldon, Lincoln Park, Mich. There are 19 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Mr. Boring was a member of Hastings Local 393, UMWA, and Hastings Methodist Church. Friends were received at the late residence Saturday and Sunday and at Beaver Valley EUB Church, Flinton, from noon until 2 p.m. Monday, time of service by the Rev. Francis Geiger and J. Walter Skillington. Interment was in Beaver Valley Cemetery. Arrangements by the James J. Long Funeral Home.
