Funeral services for Aunt Jennie Allred were held at 10:00 o'clock last Friday morning in the ward house, with Bishop George A. Gardner presiding. The choir sang the following selections: "Come, Come, Ye Saints," "When First the Glorious Light of Truth," "Sister Thou Wert Mild and Lovely," and "Nearer My God to Thee." The speakers were Brother John Peterson of Center, J. Frank Mecham and Bishop Gardner, all of whom bore testimony of the many good qualities of Sister Allred. The invocation was offered by Don L. Bigelow and the benediction was pronounced by Patriarch F.A. Fraughton. Interment was in the Wallsburg cemetery.

Aunt Jennie was born in Scotland eighty-four years ago. She was a pioneer and crossed the plains in the John Smith hand cart company and had lived in Wallsburg sixty-eight years. She leaves a host of relatives and friends to mourn her death.
