William Henry M. Dingman, lived his entire life in Canajoharie, Montgomery Co., New York. William, who also went by Henry, died of stomach cancer. He was the son of William A. and Mariah/Maria Vrooman Dingman.
Also not known at this time what name the initial M stood for.
There are three smaller tombstones nearby under a large flowering bush with the names mother, father, Nathan on them; I was unable to crawl under the bush to take their pictures.

Last Thursday morning occurred the death of William Henry M. Dingman at his home on east Main street after a long illness of many months, with cancer of the bowels. Mr. Dingman was 71 years and 6 months old and had been a life long resident of this town. He was a man of Christian faith and lived a very commendable life - he raised a large family of children and by his love and industry made a pleasant home for them all. The funeral was held Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the house, Rev. O. B. Robertson officiating. Interment in Prospect cemetery. The deceased is survived by his widow, five daughters, Mrs. John Vogel of Canajoharie, Mrs Ephraim Keyser of St. Johnsville, Mrs. Chauncey Russ of Sprakers, Mrs. Chester Andrews of Nelliston, Miss Belinda Dingman of this village, and five sons, John, Nathan, Curtis, and Harvey of this village, and Silas of St. Johnsville.
