Amy Hancock Christensen, 96, of Hollywood, California and formerly of Richfield, died November 19, 1996 in Burbank, Calif.

She was born Dec. 28, 1899 in Torrey, Utah, to Edgar Clarence and Ellen Parthenia Slade Hancock. She married Oliver Christensen, May 26, 1919 in Paragona, Utah. The marriage was solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple, July 19, 1922. He died Sept. 12, 1925. She was a member of the LDS Church. Owned and operated her own beauty shop in Hollywood for many years.

Survived by three children, Romania C. Madsen, Nola C. Thompson, George Lovel and wife, Elieen Christensen. Also survived by: 10 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, two great great-grandchildren; two sisters, Ada H. Wideen and Nina C. Stroetz. Preceded in death by parents; a sister, Mable H. Muir; son-in-law, Parley W. Madsen Jr.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 23, 1996 at 12 noon in the Neal S. Magleby & Sons Mortuary Chapel, 50 South 100 West, Richfield, where friends may gather to visit with the family Saturday morning from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Burial will be in the Monroe City Cemetery. Funeral Directors, Neal S. Magleby & Sons Mortuary, Richfield, Utah.
