At her home, one mile east of Richmond, on Monday, June 19th, 1893, at six o'clock, a.m., Mrs. J.T. Ford, from blood poisoning.
Some days ago she was bitten by a rat, which resulted in blood poison. Mrs. Ford was in her seventy-sixth year, and had raised a large family, most of whom are dead. Her husband preceded her only a few years in death. She was the mother of Robert and Charles Ford, who made themselves noted on account of being the slayers of the notorious bandit, Jesse James. Her funeral took place from the family residence Tuesday morning, and her remains now rest beside her husband in our beautiful cemetery, where it will remain until the great day of accounts. Peace to her ashes.
