CUMBERLAND - Jack Wesley Ault, 78, of Cumberland, died Wednesday, Feb. 26, 1997, at Memorial Hospital.
Born Nov. 14, 1918, in Cumberland, he was the son of the late Jacob Ault and Ardella (Cross) Ault Stein. He also was preceded in death by one daughter, Barbara (Ault) Eberstein; one sister, Eva Riggleman; and two brothers, James Ault and Paul Ault.
Mr. Ault was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He served with the 305th Ordinance Maintenance Co. in the European Theater. He was retired from the Columbia Gas. Co. of Maryland, and attended Centre Street United Methodist Church.
Surviving are his wife, Audrey (Snyder) Ault; one son, John Wesley Ault and wife Debbi, Baltimore; one daughter, Joy Elizabeth Aaron, Baltimore; two grandchildren, Barbara Suzanne Eberstein, Lusby, and Jefferson Bradley Aaron, Baltimore; and two sisters, Velma Furlow, Mount Savage, and Nevalline Seggie, Cleveland, Ohio.
Friends will be received at the George-Upchurch Funeral Home, 202 Greene St., Cumberland, on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
The funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Friday, Feb. 28, 1997, at 1 p.m., with the Rev. Lloyd B. McCanna officiating.
Interment will be in Maryland State Veterans Cemetery, Rocky Gap.
