OBITUARY.
Died, at his residence near Madison C. H., Florida at 3 o’clock A. M., Friday, March 31st 1871, of congestion of the liver, Captain William Lee Church in the 38th year of his age.
The subject of this brief notice, having served with distinction through the late war, settled in Florida shortly afterwards, in the pursuit of agriculture. There becoming married scarcely two years prior to his decease, he continued to reside until after a brief illness of only three days, his spirit was suddenly summoned from earth. A Large circle of relatives and acquaintances, by whom he was beloved and admired, mourn his untimely departure, and deeply sympathize with his bereaved wife and infant boy. But to all the assurance is a sweet consolation, that he died without a struggle – calmly, peacefully, smilingly passing away – in the midst of relatives and friends, who had tenderly and assiduously ministered to every want.
