I believe this to be the grave of John Bryan Fly, son of Albert L. & Sophronia V. Ferguson Fly.
He married Sarah I. Westfall Sept 27, 1874 in McDonald Co., MO.
They had three children, Viola, b. 1875 in Colo. Ethel, b. 1879 in MO and John R. b. 1881 in Cherryvale, KS
Family stories are that the family was living in Chelsea, OK. He decided to move the family to New Mexico, but he died along the trail and was buried.
I, and others believe he died in KS on his way back to Routt Co., Colorado where he had been working with his father & brothers. He is listed in the Colo. 1880 census with his parents & also in McDonald Co., MO 1880 census with his family. I think his family went to Chelsea, OK after he died.
