"Mrs. Morris Lister Dies
Mrs. Morris Lister, whose home was four miles southwest of Olpe, died Sunday morning at 11:25 o'clock at St. Mary's hospital. Funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Lister home. Interment will be in Evergreen cemetery.
Mrs. Morris Lister, whose maiden name was Elizabeth Arnold, was born June 10, 1856 in Iowa. She was married to Morris Lister at Rose Hill, Iowa, just before coming to Kansas in 1877. Their first home in Kansas was in Logan county. Mr. and Mrs. Lister moved to Lyon county in 1900. Mrs. Lister is survived by her husband; three sons, Frank and Ira Lister, of Emporia, and John Lister, of Olpe; one sister, Mrs. Verdie Montgomery, of Iowa, and one brother, William B. Arnold, of Monroe, Iowa."
