Ned B. Davis, loving husband, father and grandfather, returned home on Friday, October 24, 2008 at The Courtyard at Jamestown Assisted Living Center in Provo, Utah. He resided at 1487 North 500 West in Orem, Utah at the time of his death.


Born May 18, 1932 in Circleville, Utah, he lived a life of service to his family, country, and church.


He married his sweetheart, Fern Marie Gray on July 23, 1953 in the Manti Utah Temple.


He served as a bishop for many years. Loved serving a mission with his wife in Detroit, Michigan and an ordinance worker in the Manti Temple for 10 years.


He enjoyed working with the Boy Scouts of America for over 50 years, serving young men and training adults through basic training and Wood Badge. He received the Silver Beaver in 1975.


He was an avid BYU fan and a football season ticket holder since 1965.


He is survived by his wife, Fern; children: Russell (Sherri), UT; Alan (Virginia), Marysville, WA; Sheri (Brad) Christensen, UT; Marilyn (Richard) Keil, UT; April (Bruce) Merrill, Forest Grove, OR; 22 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren; sister Koami, brothers Clark, Steve and Ross. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers and sister, and grandson.


Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, October 28, 2008 at 11 a.m. in the Aspen Second Ward Chapel, 1485 North 800 West, Orem. Friends may call at the Walker Sanderson Mortuary on Monday from 6-8 p.m.
Burial will be in the Redwood Memorial Estates Cemetery in Taylorsville with Full Military Rites accorded by the American Legion Post.
