Ruth G. Adams of West Point, TN, passed away Monday night, October 6, 2008 at Crockett Hospital in Lawrenceburg, TN. She was a Baptist and had worked at Genesco as a sewing machine operator. She was preceded in death by her husband, Olan Clanton; her parents, Thomas Hood and Annie Swanner Hood; two sisters, Jewell Bruton and Barbra Rainey and one brother, Wayne Clanton.
She is survived by two daughters, Ernestine Hughes of West Point, TN and Angelia Darlene Luna; four grandchildren; three great- grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be Thursday, Oct. 9, 2008 at 2:00 PM at Pettus-Turnbo Funeral Home with James Tillar officiating. Burial will follow in the Deerfield Cem., Lawrence Co., TN.
