JOHN M. BURGER
John M. Burger, 68, Convoy, Ohio, an Adams County native, died at home Monday after a long illness.
He retired in 1983 after a 37-year career with Fruehauf Trailer Co., Fort Wayne. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
He was the son of Alva K. and Bertha Ann Welty Burger and married Bonnie Christener, who survives. Also surviving are four sons, Lester M. and David A. Burger, both of rural Van Wert; Mark A. Burger, rural Rockford, Ohio; and Ray A. Burger, rural Ohio City; three daughters, Mrs. Doug (Louann M.) Corbin, Mooresville, North Carolina; Mrs. Ben (Linda M.) Wurm, rural Decatur and Mrs. Mark (Lanetta) Heller, Decatur; two brothers, Bryce Burger, Decatur and Robert Burger, rural Decatur; six sisters, Margurite Carpenter, Bluffton; Ruth Suman, Monmouth; Mrs. Ermil (Mary) Shifferly, rural Monroe; Mrs. Gorman (Rosa) Fox and Mrs. Al (Annie) Fleming, both of rural Decatur and Mrs. Harold (Lucretia) Minnich, rural Willshire, Ohio; and 11 grandchildren. Deceased are three sisters, (Norma, Pearl and Francile) and five brothers (Wayne, Harold, Frank, William F. and Theodore Burger).
