Mrs. Jennie Waltrip celebrated her ninetieth birthday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Florence Whobrey, of St. Joseph, with whom she makes her home, Thursday, June 20. Mrs. Waltrip has three children, Charles Waltrip and Mrs. Whobrey of St Joseph and Mrs. Roy McFarland of 1805 Parrish Avenue. The late Ira Waltrip was a son.
Mrs. Waltrip is a member of the Pleasant Hill Cumberland Presbyterian church, and until two years ago was active in church work. Mrs. Waltrip, who is in good health is the last surviving member of a large family. She was Miss Jennie Faith before her marriage, her parents having been the late Mr. and Mrs. William Faith of St. Joseph. She is the widdow of David Allen Waltrip.
