ROWLAND - Mrs. Minnie Barton, 71 lifelong resident and member of a prominent family at Bridgeport, Ala., passed away Wednesday morning at her home following an illness of several months.
She is survived by her husband, Will Rowland of Bridgeport; three daughters, Mrs. Floyd Castle, Bridgeport; Mrs. Homer Self, Daylight, Tenn., Mrs. Paul Bunch, Stevenson, Ala; two sons, Rollie Rowland, Loveland, Texas, and Horace Rowland, Bridgeport; two sisters, Mrs. Harvey Jones, Bridgeport and Mrs. Roy Janeway, Chattanooga; 18 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren.
The body is at the residence at Bridgeport. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. CST Friday in Calvary Baptist Church, the Rev. Bill Hampton, the Rev. Jimmie Tate and the Rev. Ollie Linkous officiating. Interment will be in Cumberland View Cemetery near South Pittsburg. Rudder Funeral Home, Stevenson, in charge.
