Tom Joplin, 70 years of age and a invalid for twenty years, died Thursday morning at the Bob Whisenhunt home, just over the state line in Oklahoma, west of Hatfield, where he had been living for some time. The immediate cause of his death is said to have been influenza. The decesaed leaves two sons at home at this time on a furlough from Camp Beauregard.
