FRANK W. ALLEN DIES IN REDLANDS, CALIF.
Carthage, Mo., Nov. 14—A delayed message telling of the death of Frank W. Allen, formerly of Carthage, which occurred last Sunday at his home in Redlands, Calif., was received yesterday by his mother, Mrs. H. G. Allen of Carterville. Mrs. Allen left this morning for California in response to the message.
Mrs. Allen was visiting her daughter, Mrs. Claude Taylor of this city, when the message arrived. It was left at her Carterville home and she did not know of its arrival until she returned home yesterday. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon. Mr. Allen resided in Carterville before moving to California three years ago. He was 35 years old and had been in ill health for some time.
Surviving are his wife; three children; three sisters, Mrs. Taylor, Mrs. Vincel Hefley, and Mrs. Glenn Havens of Carthage; and two brothers, Fred Allen of Webb City, and Mark Allen of Nevada, Mo.
