Mrs. George B. D. Hall. 1204 Merrill street, aged 72 years, died this morning at Bronson hospital following an illness of eight weeks. Mrs. Hall had been sick for the past several years, but death was due to the result of an operation, which occurred about seven weeks ago, when one of her limbs was amputated. The foot became poisoned and It was necessary to amputate the limb in an effort to save her life. Mrs. Hall is survived only by her husband, George B. D. Hall, very well known in this city. She was a member of the First Methodist church and had been a resident of Kalamazoo for the past 48 years. She was born in Franklin county, Indiana, July 23, 1841. She came with her father, the Rev. J. T. Robe, to Michigan in 1883, the latter preaching the first sermon In Kalamazoo in that year. He was one of the pioneer Methodist ministers of the state. Mrs. Hall was educated in Kalamazoo and in 1885 was married to George B. D. Hall. The funeral announcements will be made later. Kalamazoo Telegraph Press march 18, 1914 page 2
