I believe that the dates on the gravestone are incorrect. I don't believe that it is the original gravestone and was likely replaced later. I have a copy of the genealogy "William Gage of Freetown, Mass. and his Descendants, An Historical, Genealogical and Biographical Record" Compiled, Documented and Edited By: Clyde V. Gage. This was based on the work of Rev Walker Miller Gage. I trust the data in this genealogy because the research goes back to the 1800's.
