Son of Samuel T. Logan and Emma Jane Murphy Logan. Named for his maternal g. grandfather Solomon Owings Wooden.

"SOLOMON W. LOGAN, 85 of Wilmington, died Monday, November 1, at the Delaware Division of the Wilmington Medical Center.
Born in Elk Mills, Mr. Logan was employed as superintendent of the grounds for the H. F. du Pont estate and the Richard Seller estate.
He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. L. Green and Mrs. Ruth L. Gray both of Wilmington; a sister, Mrs. Mamie C. Wilson of Elkton; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Thursday, November 4, at the Hicks Home For Funerals with Rev. Donald Milstead officiating. Burial was in North East Methodist Cemetery."
