Mrs. R. A. Miller was called to Marshville on Friday to see her mother, Mrs. Bryant Austin, who had fallen and dislocated a hip and broke her leg. She died on Sunday morning. Mrs. Austin was also the mother of Mrs. D. F. Ritchie, who died a few months ago. She attended her daughter's funeral and spent a few days with relatives in this vicinity. She had lived to an unusual age, being ninety-seven years old. She was a Parker before her marriage, and was reared in the New London neighborhood.
