Anna Robb McNitt
Anna Robb McNitt, 98, Porter Township, Hartslog Valley, Huntingdon R.F.D. 1, died at 10:15 p.m. Tuesday, 27 May 1986 at Lewistown Hospital. She had been in failing health for the last year and had been a patient at the hospital since Saturday, 24 May.
She was born on 30 September 1892 in Porter Township, Hartslog Valley, the daughter of William Wilson and Sarah Elizabeth (Porter) Robb.. She was united in marriage to Allen C. McNitt. He preceded her in death in 1962.
Mrs. McNitt is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Robert (Margaret) Freeberg, Huntingdon, RFD 1 and two granddaughters.
She was the last surviving member of her immediate family, having been preceded in death by one brother.
Mrs. McNitt was a member of the Alexandria Presbyterian Church, where she belonged to the EverReady Bible Class of the Sunday School.
She attended the public schools of Hartslog Valley, then went to a girls' school in Petersburg, Virginia and Juniata College. She spent her entire life in Hartslog Valley.
Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family with the Reverend John C. Dean officiating. Interment will be made in the Alexandria Presbyterian Cemetery.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the John C. Brown Funeral Home, Huntingdon.
It is the request of the family that flowers be omitted. Those wishing to make memorial contributions should send their gifts to the memorial fund of the Alexandria Presbyterian Church.
