Michael D. Abbott, an environmental technician manager at the engineering firm CH2M Hill, died Saturday, Nov. 17, 2001, in Ridgefield of mesothelioma cancer. He was 52.
Mr. Abbott enjoyed fishing, camping and the outdoors, and he was a Little League coach. He attended St. Philip's Catholic Church in Woodland. Mr. Abbott loved his dog, Ranger.
He was born Sept. 9, 1949, in Burbank, Calif., and lived in Ridgefield the past 21 years.
Survivors include his wife, Marcia, at home; his mother, Fredrica "Pat" P. Arant of Ridgefield; one son, Richard M. of Ridgefield; and one brother, Daniel of Utah.
Rosary will begin at 7:30 tonight at St. Philip's Catholic Church. Mass will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the church, followed by burial in St. Mary of Guadalupe Catholic Cemetery in Ridgefield.
